How long is the wait for an upgrade download [days not minutes]?

I have a refurbished HP desktop with Windows 7 professional. Over a week ago, I put in a request for a download, but nothing has happened yet. Is this normal?

I pressed the nagging Windows 10 upgrade button - to get the upgrade download. I know that back in 2015 there was a long wait, I did not expect that now.

OK, and then what happened? Is there a notification at the bottom right on your Taskbar?

That is the page that came up last week - I clicked "Ok, Notify me when ready" - I did it again a few days later - nothing happened yet

Scroll down the page to the media creation tool. Download that. Upgrade immediately.

Update ran with no issues - Windows 10 is running on my backup computer. (not rushing to upgrade this one - I'm still running DOS apps in WIN XP in a virtual machine)
