How long should i leave a wet system to dry!

Hello,
I just picked up a HP pavilion m1000 and i am trying to sell it on or give it away, but i found it on the street and it was cold and damp, i don't want to try booting it up in case i short it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how long i should leave it to dry out?

I'd leave it for 48 hours in a warm environment before trying to turn it on.

However dd you ever think theres a reason it was just tossed? Its a 13 year old system that was low end when it came out. Its mostly a door stop.

Leaving old working PCs is a common occurrence in Bristol UK and i might try and sell it on or give it away to freind with no PC

For a free system, sure. I can't imagine someone paying money for it.
