How long should I run furmark?

Solution
I wouldn't use furmark. Its mostly only for checking if your overclock is going to fail because of high temperatures. Overclocks can fail for alot of reasons, heat being only one. Just do 4-5 runs of heaven and if you make it through that you should be golden.

Well, If you haven't overclocked it, it should work just fine. but if you still want to burn it in, id say around 3 to 4 hours.

Seriously there is no reason to "Burn in" a GPU unless you are stress testing stability after an overclock. 2/3 Passes of Heaven would determine that for the most part.

All cards are keepers... I've never heard of a gpu not working.

30 days to exchange at place of purchase. I'm fairly certain the manufacturer has a significantly longer warranty. I personally think it's a waste of time beyond a couple of passes, but if it gives you peace of mind, might as well.

What if I notice for some reason my card runs very hot hotter than your average 980 ti? A stress test would tell me that quick so i can than exchange it for another. could be defective who knows would rather check everything now before i sit back and enjoy my pc

Whatever helps you sleep at night.
