Question How Long Until I'm Forced To Replace This PSU?

I have this Corsair CS850M 850W 80Plus Gold PSU since all the way back in late 2017 or early 2018, when I used the FX-8350...
In these 5 years of service it went through 4 hardware (CPU/MOBO/GPU) upgrades, and never failed or has shown any sign of malfunction...

How much longer can I trust it to run my rig?

Probably another 4 or 5 years, depending on what hardware you are running. They only warranty that one for 3 years, so it isn't super high end.

If you are keeping the temperatures reasonable and not running at 700-800W all the time, it could last a long time indeed.

I don't trust CS Corsair supplies. But if your running older components it should be fine.

CSM was EOL at the end of 2017 so you probably bought one of the latest. It had a pretty bad fan and came with only 3 year warranty for a reason. But if it runs it runs and when it fails it doesn't harm anything. The protections are decent.
