Not sure if this is a good or bad unit. Otherwise, I don't see a good future for it. Its just not well known and others say its bad.

The other components look decent. I would get an Intel i7 over that processor, if you didn't buy it already. The motherboard is very expensive too. What case do you have? And with a SSD for Windows and programs, it would be much better. That makes a real difference in booting and starting games and applications.

Whats the budget(including the money you'll get back from returning the PSU)? And in which country are you located?

I bought this off of amazon and it has a 4.5 and hardly any reviews of this psu failing but the funny thing is I found the same psu with a 3.6 with no purchasing options and alot of reviews of this psu failing
(This most likely means nothing but do you think they fixed their issues)

Never ever ever ever go by Amazon or Newegg reviews when it comes to PSUs. Those people are not electrical engineers. They give it 5 stars if their system which probably requires way less watts to their surprise simply powers on. They'll then say things like, "Delivers nice clean power" and other crap that they don't really have any expertise on.

Again with that Sentey, there is no professional review done on it, so you're drawing cards by using it.

It's advertised as 725w but can't even output 600w on the 12v rail. Strike 1
It's based on an old design based on the looks and how its rated. Strike 2
It's built by a Chinese company I have never heard of and has zero professionally done reviews. Strike 3
But it's your money if you want to risk it with a dodgy PSU that's your choice but you can't say you weren't warned.

Let me quote some examples of Amazon reviews.
This is a fantastic 725W PSU. I needed something large enough to run a HTPC.
Haha, yeah right, like your HTPC draws 725W.
Really, really quiet PSU with no load on it.
^^This is the same person. So basically they say they need a beefy PSU for an HTPC, then say it has no load on it and is quiet. Of course it's quiet! It has no load on it.
My wife loves it working great for her computer runs cool (in fact coolest running power supply I have ever seen!)
How can they tell? The only thing you can feel in the exhaust is heat dissipation, not heat. For all we know 85C rated caps are toasting up.
eing a Electronic Engineer and Tech. It is a quiet running unit, that has plenty of connections for mid tower, and plenty of power handling needs.
I would have expected an electrical engineer to know better.
Works great. I accidently blew up my last one and was happy to get this one as quick as possible. A little louder than the last one but still amazing.
You'd think that after someone's PSU blows up, they'd go somewhere like Tomshardware and say, "Hey, what's a good PSU?" rather than just buying this.
If it works, then it will do a find job.
No, no it won't.
