i might purchase a case fan and the loudness is 23 dBA
how loud is that? could anyone compare this to something so i get a faint idea how loud it is
also is there much difference between 37.9 cfm and 39.9 cfm for airflow?

cfm stands for cubic feet per minute i guess you can consider 2 cubic feet per minute a lot but I don't think in actual practice you will notice much difference in performance, 23db is pretty decent sound wise its not too loud under 30dba is considered a whisper (a very loud whisper in my opinion lol), do you want to say what fan your looking at? there are better performing fans than 40 cfm
heres a not that expensive one 47 cfm @ 25db http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120mm-nzxt-9-blade-rifle-bearing-silent-fan-1300rpm-with-braided-cable
a dearer one 50 cfm @ 18db http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120mm-be-quiet!-shadow-wings-quiet-fan-mid-speed-1500rpm-noise-100-179-db(a)
high end dear 60 cfm @ 18db http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120mm-noctua-nf-s12b-flx-ultra-quiet-flexible-(veri-speed)-cooling-fan
all three fans i've suggested are more torwards someone worried about noise you can go for higher airflow fans up to the 70-80 cfm just a higher db too

wow thanks for your comment 😀
i was looking at this one http://www.waeplus.co.uk/product/869989/CORSAIR-Corsair-Air-Series-SP120-Quiet-E
but after your comment i'm a lot more knowledgable now, thank you :)

btw i see on your specs that you also have an SSD, i installed mine earlier (also have a 1TB HDD that i want to use as storage) but after i installed windows 7 onto my SSD, the LAN driver from my mobo disc wont work, well it installs but my internet doesnt work, it just has the yellow exclamation mark on the taskbar, do you have any ideas please?
