So I recently built a new gaming PC, new case and pretty much new everything. It's a bit louder than I expected tho, as it was named "silent edition"

In order for your test to be as accurate as mine, please put your phone or whatever on top of your pc (I put mine close to the power button)

Idle - 40decibels

This with the Phanteks p400s case, 6 fans and this as CPU cooler: be quiet pure rock.
GPU fans are spinning at it lowest.

CPU Temps during 100% load - 75
GPU temps during 100% load - 72

So temps are fine, just wondering how loud my PC is comparing to others.

my case is 0db at the top of the case. when not gaming. with cases with more then two fans your better off using a fan controller. with light load i turn off or down the fans. turn up fan if needed in summer heat or hard gaming. 120mm fans at 100 percent speed do make a lot of noise.

How can your PC be 0db when not gaming? Dafuq. Do you turn off your fans completely? And even if so, your GPU or PSU or whatever should make some kind of noise.

Well use an app to find out!

I used my note 3 with "decibel meter" .. at idle,, 39 decibels; (mic over power button of an ostrog case) web page for case here
I have 120mm fans only; testing positioned 1/2 inch from location of installed device

1 intake on front, registering at 42db,
2 fans on top of case making 41db
Twin fans on water cooled radiotr on back producing 44db

so no more noisy than a library...

this goes up during gaming... to 62db..

nothing to write home about.

Yeah mine is classed as a silent library, and same when gaming. But 62db while gaming? How can you focus? xD
I guess our computers are quite similiar, and maybe I'm just crying over nothing since you seem to play with 62db in the background.

To make this test as close as possible, what is the app logo for the decibal meter you used? (so we use the same one)

We used the same meter, 40 decibels is not that loud then.

My silent PC is 0 Dba full passive 65 watt CPU + Full passive GTX 1050 ti GPU ... the power supply is Corsair RMx 750 , the fans almost never spin.

I have an emergency intake 230 fan and 2x140 out fans to use them for emergency , but I never needed to turn them on ..
