how many 4 pin fans can the msi 970a sli krait edition support

i plain on having 4 4-pin fan in my case using the krait edition
and if it cant support it plz tell me other options that dosen't require me to get an new mobo

"1 x 4-pin system fan connector", so you can have two identical fans using a "Y" splitter.
There's also "1 x 3-pin system fan connector" you can also have two fans but can control them only by voltage, PWM function will not be available.

4-pin fan controller will work on fan(s) only in that one, 3 pin has to have voltage adjusted but 4pin fan(s) will work in 3pin controllers.
That's for connecting to MB, otherwise you can get a case mounted controller with 4pin connectors with it's own thermostat or without. There's quite a range of those.

what do u mean by only in that one, how do i change the voltage so 3-pins=4-pins
and also how many fans can the mobo support.

Only the 4pin fan on 4pin MB 4pin(PWM) connector can be regulated as PWM(Pulse Width Modulation). It controls fan speed by sending short pulses of voltage thru 4th pin. varying pulse length and frequency make fan turn faster or slower. Runs full speed at 12v and slower on lower voltages, just like any electric motor.
3 pin controller just changes amount of Voltage available to fan even if 4pin fan is connected to it.
Both can be controlled thru BIOS from separate places in it.

I used an adapter(EK-PWM-Y-4) from a company in Austin to connect four fans to the connector on the motherboard. The connector to the motherboard connects to only the PWM for the CPU Fan pin. Power for the units is via 12 volt connection off the power supply. All are controlled by the PWM controller. I can see and watch the changes in speed on the fan and monitoring software. I also have two fans off the System fan and they use a splitter(EK-PWM-Y-3). Yes I am running 6 fans, plus an extra fan to the power supply.
