How many amps will I need for a R9 270X CrossFireX

Hi, I have run my system through various PSU calculators, and my system came out @ around 450w, but I want to CrossFireX R9 270X's, so how many amps do I need to run my system??

My specs are; -Intel I5 3570k OC'd to 4.4 ghz
-A gigabyte Z77 D3H
-8gb of corsair 1600mhz
-Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 High Performance CPU Cooler
-Seagate ST1000DX001 1TB Hybrid Drive
-Sapphire R9 270X Dual-X Boost OC 2GB Graphics Card

If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated

If you just calculate the amps based on the watts you get and using the +12 volt rail as an example it is 37.5 amps.
A system with 2 x 270X calls for 700watts http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm That is not based on quality PSU's so really a quality 650watt with 4 x PCIe power connectors would handle it fine.

For a system using two AMD Reference Design Radeon R9 270X graphics cards in 2-way CrossFireX mode AMD specifies a minimum of an 700 Watt or greater system power supply. The power supply should also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 43 Amps or greater and have at least four 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Sufficient Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the most critical factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

The +12 Volt continuous current rating of 43 Amps or greater, that I specified above, will handle the running of FurMark stability testing and GPGPU usage with two overclocked AMD Reference Design Radeon R9 270X cards. It should also be sufficient to handle the overclocking of the i5-3570K to 4.4 GHz.

Im about to get the same video card.. but single not crossfire.
I cant find anywhere about the 12v amps requirement....
but i have a Antec EW 650 watts that has 3 12v rails (+12V1@22A, +12V2@22A, +12V3@25A)
should my PS run this video card with no problem or i have to get a new ps???

Yes your PSU will run that no problem, since you have more than enough, when the specify the amps it is combined over all +12volt rails.
