So I was just wondering, How many Anti-Virus Programs should I have open and working at once for best security? My CPU can handle multi-tasking very well, My PC specs: Core i5 4590, 16 GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 8 GB, I got Malware-Bytes and Avast working Right now, and thinking of getting more Anti-viruses like McAffe and Norton, Please quick answer for my question.

One and only one active AV tool.

None. Stay off of porn hub and be careful what you download and you won’t have a problem. I haven’t used one since windows XP days.

If you use more than onr anti-virus simultaneously, they could work against each other. You should only use one

You don't need that many.

Stick with Avast and Malware Byes and use some common sense when browsing.

edit:
1 active protection but you can run another to scan.

Okay, I will just stick with Avast an Malwarebytes, And avoid scam download websites that promise you to give you the file you want and after you download it, you find out it's an adware, Happened to me like 300 Times.

How many? as many as possible of course :D but then that would be paranoia.

Downloading freewares... u have to assume it comes attached with something. Is free for a reason. I find out the name of it, then go straight to the author home page tend to be safer. Stuff like that.

Keep backups, maintain good OS Images should keep your system mostly clean.
