Question How many degrees celsius does a good cooler reduce?

generally speaking, how many degrees does a decent cooler reduce ? also, i have a i7 3770 , how many degrees it can take the heat before start "killing" the processor ? i have read it is 68 degrees. is that correct?

Generally, you don't want the CPU to go over 85C under load.

According to intel, 100c is the max temperature the CPU should be at.

Really under 80-85c is ideal.

A cheap Cooler Master H212 will drop temperatures a lot compared to a stock cooler on an i7.
