Question How many discs can the Asus P10S-C/4L server motherboard support ?

Hi Guys,

I have an Asus P10S-C/4L motherboard.
I use it as a file server.
On the native sata ports (2) and the sas hd mini (4) I use 6 8tb discs, but I need more...
Is this motherboard can handle more discs?
In the motherboard, there are 2 m2 slots, but if I use one of them, the motherboard missing one of the hdds from sata port.
Is there any ides why this is happening?
Can I user 7-8-9 discs with this motherboard?

For a "file server", consider a 4-8 bay external enclosure.

I have 2x 4 bay enclosures attached to my QNAP, and you pretty much can't tell they are not internal drives.

This server is an ARC DSM...
As I know, the DSM is fast with the internal drives, so I'm try to add more of them.
