I have the evga g2 750w psu. I only use 1 gtx 980 ti with a i7 4790k so how many fans could I plug into my psu without it dying?

If your fans are 4 pin, but not Molex, I assume they must be PWM fans. Those are awful expensive fans to be run off of a Molex. They will run at full speed all the time. PWM fans are designed to be controlled by the motherboard's BIOS or a PWM fan controller. What fans are they?

But if you want to run them off a Molex, you can. But you'll have to use a Molex to 3 pin that doesn't have shrouds over the 3 pin sockets so the 4 pin connector will fit. Hard to find. Here's a rare Molex to 4 pin PWM adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Phobya-Adapter-4Pin-Molex-30cm/dp/B004X2XBMA

They are noctua nf-a15 140mm fans. So a 3 pin to molex would work on a 4 female pin fan? I want to have around 8 fans total in my case. I know that they will run at full speed but I just want to keep the system running as cool as possible.

Wow! Those are $27 fans apiece at Newegg. You really over spent if you plan on just running them directly off the PSU all the time. But to each his own...
8 fans. Glad I don't have to sit next to that. A little overkill, wouldn't you say?

Yes, any 4 pin fan will run off a 3 pin header or fan adapter. The fan motors use the same +12V and Ground as any 2 wire fan. 3 wire fans add a tach feed back, and 4 wire PWM fans add a pulse signal wire.

Alright thank you! Yeah I guess it's overkill but I like the feeling of a cool system. Noctua has the best quality and they will hopefully last a few years. Plus I use headphones most of the time and cant hear anything. But anyways you have been very helpful!
