I have a Asus K8V Deluxe board with a AMD Athlon64 3500+ Processor. I have purchased a Cooler Master Centurion 2 case which accomodates 2 80mm fans. Additionally I have a Thermaltake K8 Processor fan and heatsink. Additionally I have an Enermax Noisetaker 480W power supply with 2 fans (one blowing out and the other drawing to the back fan). My question is do I have enought cooling power. I do not plan to over clock this processor.

Please help.

Remove all fans and install a 15 inch automotive high performance radiator fan from pepboys on your case side panel in blow into the case. This way you can easily put a wire mesh as air filter to minimize dust gathering while slightly pressurize the case to keep dust from getting in from all the cracks...

Then again, if you did that, someone you live with might chew your head off 😛

your about as useful as lips on a chicken... Go back to your Xbox and lolipop achool is almsot ready to start again.

Your best bet is to get some temperature monitoring software like Motherboard Monitor 5. Make sure you have an active internet connection when you install this program as you will probably need to download a file specifically for you motherboard. Or Asus might have some temperature monitoring software specifically for you motherboard you can use. Either way if after playing games or computer intensive tasks your CPU temperature is under 60 C, then you should be fine.

I would get the monitoring software to make sure, but if you have the two 80mm fans installed and running, then I would think that you should be alright. If you computer is unstable (i.e. random unexplained crashes during games or video encoding) then I would start to worry about getting better cooling.

Of course, I'm of the opinion you can't have too many fans, but that is just me.

lol
the merit of my previous post is you will need to take use of much larger fans than the 8CM ones to acheive good air circulation while keep noise down, you can go to any major fan manufacture and download their fan spec, for the same noise, a 120mm fan has more than triple of airflow than a 80mm fan.

and yes i did purchase a automotive radiator fan and was going to put it as my side panel,(US cars uses 12V DC, same one from a PSU. My wife convinced me not to proceed with modification with a butcher knife 🙁
