How many fans should I have in my gaming PC?

I have an i5 4690k processor and a GTX 970 graphics card. Thank you!(This is my first time building a PC so if I sound a little clueless at times I am sorry)

Depends on your case.

Most have enough fans preinstalled

Nice case

If you want it to stay silent then keep the top vents closed . Cooling is good enough for a moderate gamer as it is .

But if you want to add a little extra cooling then maybe add a 140 mm fan to the bottom of the case blowing air in .
Noctua redux 140 mm has the same mounting points as a 120 mm fan and is quiet enough
