Hi! I've been looking on the internet, but I can't seem to find how many ranks per RAM stick there are on the official site: PVS464G320C6K aka Viper Steel DDR4 64GB(2 x 32GB) 3200MHz Kit. I need to mention that I don't own these RAMs, otherwise, I'd use HWInfo or Thaiphoon Burner to get the info.

What I found is a couple of russian sites (about 4-5 of them) that mention they have dual rank, but I don't know how accurate this info is, since the title of the products seems to be exactly the same for each site. Where the title ends in "dual rank". If the info is true, I still don't know how the dual rank is considered, is it dual rank per RAM stick, or do both RAM sticks have a total of 2 ranks, making each RAM stick to be single rank?

What I found is this english review of them, but they don't mention the rank either.

Thanks!

I understand that your post is about "ranks" etc...

However, what is the underlying system/computer problem?

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

What about other (non-Russian) websites?

When it comes to RAM, the ultimate resource is the motherboard's manufacturer.

Go to the motherboard's manufacturer's website to find the motherboard's User Guide/Manual.

The User Guide/Manual and/or website should provide detail information regarding both supported RAM and supported RAM configurations.

Details matter. Read carefully.

Hi! I've been looking on the internet...
Bdie finder suggests it is a single rank (aka "SR", as opposed to DR). Quote:
SKU not found! It's either not B-Die or unknown to us just yet.
It might be: Patriot Viper Steel / 3200C16 10ns / 64GB 2 sticks SR
I'm not sure how accurate this is, tho. What i'd do is pick a few motherboards from different manufacturers and check their QVL lists. If you are lucky (or look long enough) to find it listed, it will also tell you the number of ranks there. Now, whether a manufacturer always uses the same rank structure on a specific module (part number), that's another question. From what i've read, some of them switch between SR and DR as they see fit, and that's the reason they don't disclose that info. Then you have Kingston, for example; they always state whether the module is SR or DR in their datasheets for a given part number. XPG includes that info in the part number itself (at least for DDR4).

It'll be dual rank. I've not seen a 32gb stick that isn't. Would take higher capacity memory chips than used to be single rank.

Edit: here's a nice write up on what ranks actually mean.

I'm sorry for the late reply, guys! After reading all of your posts, it looks like @Math Geek found the answer, as I've also double-checked what they said by actually finding a seller of the exact model, as used, with them telling me they are double rank.

Thank you guys for all the suggestions you gave me in the meantime! And I am sorry once again for the late reply!
