How many sockets?

Hi all,

a little while back, someone posted a link to a table showing how many
sockets Larzuk would punch in an item based on where it was found. I seem to
have lost that link, can someone please refresh my memory.

DOH!

I just found it right after posting. It was
http://www.diabloii.net/items/sockets-list.shtml I was looking for. But this
leads to my next question: How do you know what the ilvl is? I have an item
(Partizan) that was dropped in NM Durance2 by a Mauler. According to
http://darkness.diabloii.net/beastiary/xmlvls-act3.shtml, said mauler should
be mlvl 58. ISTR ilvl is based on mlvl, but don't remember exactly how.
