0 ?

or a few is ok ?
how much ?

I play the empire at turn 1

no starting ship

only a gouverment center

2 000 000 colonist

20 000$ cash

30 players in game, so we should be close to each others, I think I need
troop and highguard as fast as possible, but not if it reduce my growth...

Again documentation!

Each TC will lower your growth by 1%. You can not have a growth below
0%, so no further harm at 100+ TCs.

This is up to each player to decide individually, for him/herself based
upon such factores as race played, and how much growth you are willing
to give up for crew and troops and HG.

Now that that is said, I usually build 5-10 on my HW to get crew and HG
for my ships. This of course varies based upon race I am playing and
their training rates. After I get enough, I usually turn these off and
establish a training world nearby, with 100+ centers.

On any shipyard world as EE, I sugest having 1 and only 1 TC on and
active. Yes, a GC as well.

You do need troops & highground, but the most effective way for that is
an other wise poor quality base within easy pod lauch range of the
shipyard with 100 TCs. Pod in excess crew created by the TC from the
shipyard to this planet.

Insufficent food can limit HG production but insufficent food can also
limit colonist population so this will determine how many troops to pod
out of this base. Be sure to always keep 1 HG on this training world so
HG production doesn't fall to zero. (Much, much easier for a HG to
train troops to be HG)

Also as EE, in early game, avoid building too many cities.

GC = Goverment Center here, cause it was talked about Base structures.
In other context it can mean Ground Combat or Galactic Credit(s)

You can find a list of acronyms here
www.vgap4-info.org.uk/VGAP4-Int/acronyms.htm

or some more stuff if you look and read
/www.vgap4-info.org.uk/VGAP4-Int/english/index.htm

or a list of shipdevices here and at that site more other usefull docs
www.stevens-home.com/VGAP4/ShipDevices.htm

And from both sites you can find more links to read something about VGAP.

Bye-Bye JoSch.
