How many watts do i need for a R9 280

Solution
A R9 280 will run fine on a good 500W PSU, such as anything built by Seasonic (their own, XFX, some Antec), Delta (some Antec), or Super Flower (Rosewill Capstone, Kingwin Lazer, EVGA G2).
I had good results with XFX until I bought their HD7970. It was hot and loud, even underclocked. I exchanged it for the Gigabyte WF3 model, and it runs very cool, and not loud, even when overclocked. The bad XFX card may have been a fluke, but their tech support did not get back to me in a timely manner when I asked if removing the cooler and re-applying thermal paste would void the warranty; hence the exchange before time ran out.
