So i am in a very tight spot at the moment and i need to know how much power a Bluray disc drive uses in a pc at idle, full load, playing a disc (such as a movie) playing a game disc.
the specs are: HP blu-ray disc rewriter
model number: BH38L (A2HH

I wasnt sure what category to put this in so i just put it under components :)

Idle: 1.5W - 5W (http://www.buildcomputers.net/power-consumption-of-pc-components.html)
Burning: 25W - 30W (http://www.buildcomputers.net/power-consumption-of-pc-components.html)
Average (Playing): ~18W (or 1.5A as rated in label of a similar model: http://www.ascendtech.us/hp-bh30l-10x-blu-ray-disc-rewriter-sata_i_bddvdhp50494104.aspx#)

Should be a minimal power requirement. I had a build set up in PC Part Picker without a Blu-Ray Writer and PC Part Picker reported 160 watt usage. I added the HP Blu-Ray Writer and the power requirement didn't change. I can't see it taking much more than about 20 watts during the fastest writes.
