Any help would be appreciated! :) These are the specs:


SAPPHIRE Vapor-X R9 270X (GPU)

ASUS A88X-PLUS (Mobo)

AMD A8-7600 - 3.1GHz, Quad Core (CPU)

Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB DDR3 (RAM)

WD Mainstream 1TB 7200RPM (HDD)

ASUS DRW-24F1SR (DVD-RW Optical Drive)

Agreed on staying away from the CX series.

Jonnyguru is the authority on PSU testing. He grades the CX lineup as a tier 6 of 9 tiers. There are many better PSUs for just a few dollars more. Really worth it.

It's made by Seasonic, one of the best OEM makers in the industry. Very high quality PSU.
500w would suffice, however better to invest in a bigger PSU so you'll be able to reuse it when you upgrade your video card (or going Crossfire/SLI), so I'd say at least a 650-750w PSU, make sure you get one that is 80+ Bronze Certified with 40A+@12V rail from a known brand like Seasonic, Antec, Superflower, EVGA, OCZ or Corsair (avoid it's CX series).
