I'm most likely going to purchase this microphone because it's the best i could find for under $100 and it has good reviews.

I'm also getting a mic stand

and a pop filter....

but someone please explain to me what extra cords i need to purchase to be able to connect the microphone to the computer? I'm assuming I need extra cords or longer cords for the mic to work. Thanks for ALL the responses, hopefully I'll get a few replies. :)

On their website it states that it includes the chord for USB audio transfer from the mic to the computer. http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/wired_mics/c75c5918ed57a8d0/ This is the same mic so the included cable should work in any usb port. If you need an extender just search for a usb extender on amazon and make sure it has good reviews. Hope this helps!
I could not tell (and did not look for that long) what the connector that comes on that Mic... If it is NOT USB or mini jack (3.5mm) then you'll need an adapter of something to connect it to your PC.

It comes w/ Integral 3-pin XLRM-type, this is a=intended to connect to a mixing board or amplifier.
