I have a Dell Optiplex 9020. With 8GB DDR3 Ram and a I7 4770. And i create 3D images and animation with SFM and Blender. And i am wondering if I should swap out my D4 Gigabyte GT 1030 For a GTX 1050 TI LP OC card. Should I fork out the money to make this upgrade? Is it worth the 200 dollars?

Solution
i really dont want to take the risk unless its a confirmed fit. as well as would the 1060 be able to work in a 255 watt power supply? and how much more would a 1060 be compared to a 1050 in AUD?

There are several GTX 1060 LP version however it is a 3gb version which is sufficient and also a RX 570 LP version even for me my concern is the PSU, I think the PSU does not fit for 1060 for website from Nvidia it requires 400w PSU as a minimum so will not work.

So GTX 1050 it is.

The 1050ti is about 100% faster than a 1030 in fps. So if your getting 30fps with a 1030, you can expect approx 60+fps with a 1050ti. It is of course game dependent.

$200!! Something is wrong there. That's way too expensive. You could get an RX580 for less than that! Where do you live/shop?
i live In QLD Australia. so the price is AUD. and i dont really think that gaming is the same as 3D work but its a good estimation.

I think that is suitable however if you don't mind what kind of 9020 OptiPlex is it a small form factor or the one that has a big casing because if it is a small form factor the GPU might not fit well.

yes the GTX 1050 Ti LP OC would fit well as I've seen on several youtubers, you can try as well a GTX 1060 small form factor version as well though because 1060 is more better than the 1050 ti it is almost 50% performance you can get depending on the games and apps.

But man for me if you can find a GALAX 1050 ti 4gb LP OC it would be better it has dual fans rather the Gigabyte that has only 1 fans to cool.
