[SOLVED] How much better is the i7 4770 vs i7 3770?

I am wanting to know how much better is the 4770 in gaming compared to the 3770? because I am going to get the 3770 and I used a 4770 for about a month and if the 3770 performs anything like the 4770 does I will be very happy. so if anyone has any experience with these 2 could you tell me what you know

All I want is 60 fps at 900p, the 4770 was able to do that easily with the rx 580 that I have and I don't think the 3770 is to far behind the 4770 when all I want is 60 fps

4770 is at best, and in limited circumstances, anywhere between 1% to 6% faster than 3770. What do you have for RAM? Today, the 1155 and 1150 socket platforms can stay viable if you can overclock these CPUs to 4.5Ghz or above. You can still extend your system usefulness by buying a non-k 3770 cpu (to run on a motherboard that will not let you overclock) - but I wouldn't spend more than $80.

I think I will get it if its going to perform close to what the 4770 did, I don't play many intensive games anyways. All I want is 60 fps.

This is a solid upgrade.

The i7-4770 is only very slightly superior to the I7-3770. Both can adequately treat the RX 580.

However keep in mind that the two have a different socket so if your motherboard could use an I7-4770 it CANNOT use an I7-3770

I know, I was using a friends mobo and cpu well mine was broken, I am now using an i5 2400
