Hey fellow PC enthusiasts',

I kinda built a $500 gaming rig recently and was interested in Bitcoin Mining. Here's the spec,

Mobo - Gigabyte Ga-H110M-A
Processor - Intel Pentium G4560
Graphics Card - Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 2GB
Memory - 4GB Crucial DDR4 2400Mhz
Case - Corsair Carbide 100R
CPU Cooler - Intel OEM Cooler
PSU - EVGA 500 W1, 80+ WHITE 500W

My main interest for Bitcoin mining was to get enough of them to upgrade this machine in the future although I'll have to change the mobo because the h110 only supports 6/7th gen processors. So nonetheless, my question is, how much Bitcoin can you mine a day/week/month? I've did some calculations myself and concluded the 1050 could squeeze out at least $3-ish a day (not sure about the power consumption). By the way, I don't mind if the 1050 isn't a worthy miner for Bitcoins, I'm just seeking for the answer. To anyone who stumble across this thread, I'd be interested to hear your Bitcoin mining experiences (not gpus overheated and caught on fire lol).

*Note : Yes boys, it's the 1050, not 1050ti.

You sir, clearly did not read the thread carefully. I said I don’t mind if the 1050 is an unworthy miner, I just want the quantity of Bitcoin mined per day/week/month. Simple, right?

Then come in a month, and update your post with actual number - you will help someone like you who still thinks mining on GPU is feasible.

Well, I mine 0.40 cents a day with the 1050. It's pretty quiet and doesn't consume much energy nor produce much heat. And in the States I don't really need to worry about cooling because.... I open my window, problem solved..... So yeah, if you mine after finish using your computer and while you're sleeping or gone out, you can get around $7 a month.

Edit: week > month , removed 18

Nicehash shows $5.37/month, running 24/7, after average US electricity costs.

Since you already have the hardware...try it. Report back in month or two of dedicating your system to 24/7 mining, and see how much (or how little) you've 'earned'.

I'm already doing it for almost a month now. And I don't really care about the bills since I'm not the one who's paying for it. The 18 came from someone who posted it, but I'm only getting 7 a month as it was 0.50 cents last month but it dropped like hell this month, the calculators wasn't accurate imo. And I made a mistake on my previous post, mb.

"don't really care about the bills"
That's funny right there.

Someone is paying for it. And you get to earn the equivalent of a single frozen pizza per month.
Whoopee.

Ehh yeh, but that single frozen pizza got me good
