How much can a i5-6400 sell for?

As the title suggests i am trying to find out how much a used i5-6400 can sell for used. My friend is trying to sell it and im not sure what it should go for. I know its 300 new but i dont know if i should sell it for about 140 or 100. (This is CAD btw) Thanks in advance.

You might try looking at ebay or similar places where people are selling them used to get an idea of the price range. In the end it's whatever someone will pay for it. Brand new i5 6400's seem to be going for around $240 cad, not 300. A quick look on ebay only shows a few, it's still a fairly new cpu so there may not be too many used offers. They seem to range around $200 cad so somewhere between 180-200 cad seems fair.

I totally agree with the above.

I've also heard you knock 20% off the retail price as soon as it's used. So if it's $240CA new, it should be ~$190CA used. Which fits in line with what Synphul said. You would take more money off for each year it's been out, but as stated that's a new CPU.
