How much can i get from Pentium G3258?

Okay guys so i have G3258 now i want to OC it without getting a cooler. i want to OC it to 3.7GHz or more But i want it to be stable what can i do?

You should not oc on the stock cooler. Even an inexpensive hyper 212 would allow overclocking.

I've read where others have overclocked it to 4.5GHz stable with stock cooler. Each chip is different. Case, fans, components in your case etc...can all be a factor. I'd be surprised if you couldn't at least hit 4.0GHz stable with the stock cooler.

That's fine! Just stress test the overclock using this - free testing for 30 days for awhile, and monitor core temperatures while testing using this. As long as the core temperatures do not exceed ~ 80°C, then all is good.

you may get a pretty bad chip like i did or even worser chip than me. i got mine to 3.8 ghz on adaptive with 51c but failed 24 hr testing. mine would boot on 4.2 ghz with 1.225 vcore on the stock cooler it hit 83c on intel burn test. but wasn't stable till 1.260 vcore and aftermarket cpu cooler but i was able to get it 66c on 24 hr testing and under 60c gaming with an arctic freezer i11 just a $25 cpu cooler. i haven't went past 4.2ghz yet not much time to play around with it.
