So i have a bit of an issue, namely, my 2600x got busted, so it's very much unusable, but the problem is i'm kinda low on funds atm, especially during this season, and i can't really go ham and buy one before like Feb. So the only thing i found that fits my budget right now are the a6 9400 and a6 9500. I just wanna know, how big of a cut am i gonna take using one of these two, as in, will the rig be somewhat usable or will it be too bottlenecked by them and which is the better option of the two?

As for my rig i have :
Mobo: Asus ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming
Ram: G.Skill 16GB Aegis DDR4 3200MHz CL16 KIT
GPU: Sapphire RX 570 4GB Pulse ITX
PSU: EVGA 500W 80+

Huge cut goign with those "A" CPUs,

If you can't afford another 2600X, can you atleast get a Ryzen 5 1600?

How much is your budget?

Sorry to ask but, Are you 100% sure that the CPU is broken? Are you 100% thats is not a motherboard, BIOS, RAM, or PSU issue ?

Not atm, and by the time i have the money to get a 1600, i'll have enough for a new 2600x anyway so no point. My budget is like 40$, because i already planned out my budget for a while and sadly a new cpu was not on that list, that money in my market only gets the a6 CPUs new. And if i luck into it a used 240GE/r3 1200, which is not very likely in the next week when i need this sorted. It's a very ** market. For am4 especially.

I guess i'm just gonna have to re-budget and get at least an entry Ryzen 3. A R3 1200 would be fine for that rig right? At least for a couple months ? And what about the 200/240GE, would they be a decent option? For a short while also.

R3 1200, or the Athlons 200/240GE will be close in performance, main diference been the Ryzen 3 1200 have 4 physical cores, while the other have only 2 + 2 logical ones (in short the 200/240 will be a bit slower).

But any of them will be faster than the A6 or A8 you can find.

Managed to find a 240GE for 35$ still new only used for a bios flash previously, although, can someone confirm that this core speed is how it's supposed to be on a 240GE stock, or am i tripping that it's off? Image
