How much do i overclock my I7 7700k for ram increase

I have i7 7700k https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117726 and was wondering how much i have to overclock it to support my ram which is https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231888 when i overclock my ram to 3000Mhz. i tried overclocking ram alone and set voltage to 1.35 and timings to auto and i got a BSoD and i read that if i overclock cpu it can support 3000Mhz but i dont know how much to overclock average temps when playing BF1 are about 60 degrees. motherboard is https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132927

You're very confused it seems.
You don't have to overclock CPU for any memory.
If this ram has xmp profile, select it in BIOS and be done.
Now whether you overclock cpu or no that's a totally different matter.

yes very my ram currently is at 2300mhz ish and i read that having 3000mhz is rarely supported without overclocking cpu. i overclocked ram to 3000mhz and 1.35V and then got a BSoD, so do i set the timings manually or to auto because someone yesterday told me when overclocking ram to turn off XMP. Can u walk me through on what to do?
also just checked bios with xmp and the only preset is 2400
