How much does a laptop hardware/fan cleaning service cost?

There is only about 5 or 6 laptop repair shops near me and today I bought my laptop to one of them. I asked for the price but they told me that the boss who repair the laptop is not here and they don't know the price. Please give me a estimate of how much it will cost based on your past experience.

If the shop does not have a printed list of standard costs for standard services, that is a shop I'd not likely go to.

Unless there is some specific concern I would likely purchase a can of air and blow it out.

I have used two shops local to me, private, and in both cases they charge $80 to open a machine, plus parts.

I will say that a can of air often tends to clump the dust inside into a dust bunny rather than blowing it out. Depending on how marginal your laptop's cooling system is, that may not be good enough.

May be too late, but I would suggest getting the best cooler pad out there with more then one fan. Get gasket Foam tape for doors and line the cooler around the base of your laptop so it seals the air gap and forces the air through the laptop. Buy a can or two of BLO-air , compressed air cans to clean the Puter. Best way is to crack it open and blow it out.
