How much does my AMD 8350 FX affect the performance of my gtx 970 MSI?

As a second point, I upgraded the cooling on my PC and turned off HPET timer (Windows 10). I haven't had any issues in about 3 weeks, aside from taking off a decent OC on my GPU so I wasn't taking more power than my supply could handle. Would that cause any potential issues I don't know about?

Update: the title is meant to ask how much it's bottlenecking, just wanted to be clear.

...Huh. Thank you, I had no idea about that. Thanks a lot!
Also, does anyone have any idea if the HPET timer has any issues when turned off on Windows 10?
(I've run the CPU for about 20 minutes on Prime95 on the maximum heat setting, so I don't know of any)

don't know much on that [never looked till you brought it up] ,but

one says this [lol]
''Sadly, all of this doesn't say anything about whether you should or shouldn't have it enabled, and it also doesn't really shine any light on the performance aspects (which is what i was hoping to find when I came here).

seems like one of the mystery's of why or why not on or off ??

All right, thank you once again. I'll just leave it off then, since it seems to significantly increase performance (on the order of 45 FPS average ultra settings at 1280x720 to 70 fps 1920x1080 ultra for Just Cause 3), and the only drawbacks seem to be that it takes more power draw, which forces me to turn down my GPU OC, and the chip runs warmer... which isn't an issue if you have good cooling.
