Hi! So i expect my G2020 to bottleneck my Sapphire vapor-X HD7770, but msi afterburner and few other programs show that my gpu usage is 100%, is that true?

Solution

Oh okay that makes sense, its cuz u were doing a benchmark, benchmarks use most if not all of the GPU power to render the image. The benchmark was just stressing the GPU to see if it is working like its suppose to, that is why its at 100%. What were the final results of the benchmark what Average FPS were u getting, if it was below 30 FPS, your CPU might be a bottleneck for the GPU.

HL2:Lost Coast benchmark. That means, when i upgrade to i5 3340 there wont be any improvements in FPS?

At 1080p depending on settings most games will be bottlenecked by a 7770 even on that pentium. That card is meant for 900p at high settings or 720p at ultra on modern games - both without any MSAA turned on.

Lower the resolution and turn off any anti aliasing. You can leave SMAA or FXAA on.

Im playing 1920x1080p. I know that gpu is also weak, but it should run at low/med moust games i ussualy play. My question is, if G2020 is bottlenecking my gpu, then upgrading to i5 3340 will rise the peformance?

I have 180FPS, all ond ultra and 1920-1080 resolution. I tried ETS2 sim and also had 100% gpu

Hmm...That's unusual are the driver of the GPU all updated? also try reseating the GPU.

I think the real problem is the VRAM because of stuttering that knows to happen all the time?

I went from athlon to i7 ivy on my hd7770ghz and see virtually no difference unless I drop resolution, the fps is higher on the likes of arma2 but not noticeable without fps counter, it was annoying because at the same time my brother stuck with his athlon and got a 280x instead of i5, he is bottle necked a bit but his experience is far better. I would say upgrade your gpu.
