Gtx 1050 oc
Windows 10 pro.
I know cpu is shit but then too...
Will i be able to run gta 5 ?
If yes then at what resolution and settings? (Btw i have 1368x768 monitor)
What will be the fps on other games like far cry primal, far cry 4 , watch dogs 1and 2, etc.

Solution

I have a lowly FX 6300 with a mini-ATX Gigabyte motherboard, so no overclocking for me. 8GB of DDR3 1333Mhz RAM and a GTX 460(ancient, I know) and yet this system can run and run well even Far Cry 4 at 40 FPS+ at Medium-High settings.
As it's a 6-core cpu, you can probably tell it's gotta be good at video editing, and it is. It's not super-good, but it's very good.

Currently for economy reaosns I'm running this...
if i can play on a r7 250 and a amd 5350, you can play there

the gpu is too much for that cpu, should give you around 30+ fps on medium to high

the problem with it is that is lga 1155, so not new cpus for it, when you want to upgrade, you will need to get new mainboard, cpu and ram

watch dogs needs at least 4 cores cpu, that one is 2 cores only, it will be slow, 15 or less fps

not sure if farcry runs on dualcore cpu, do a search about it and farcry4, there is some tricks to make it run, but there is need to configure things to make it work

if you are on a budget, i wouldn't get a such old gpu on a slot that old, it should give you more fps a fm2+ cpu, something like a x4 860k and a microatx mainboard with 2x4gbs of faster ram and the gtx you mention should let you play 1080p high easily over 50fps most of those, except watchdogs, see benchmarks on youtube, the things asks for a i7 minimum to work well

are you on a budget? low budget?

that resolution is called hd

the same my hd tv has, it is practically the same resolution of a monitor at 1280x720 pixels

1600x900 is what start to change things, 1920x1080 is full hd, the sweet spot for most

as mentioned before, the gou is decent, but if the cpu is not pushing it to the limit, it is wasted money

you need a cou that makes the gou go 100%

That's right, but the 4th gen i3 is so good, it's better and faster than a 6-core AMD FX 6300, apart from multi-tasking, of course.

for games might be a bit better but as expensive or more, the mainboard is more expensive too, but for video edition tools, it is not faster, it is just 2 cores cpu

threads are not cores and a fx is a 5 years old, cheap cpu, the i3 is 2 or 3 years old iirc

I know that my cpu is shit...but my family doesn't like gaming and so they dont want me to game. I somehow managed to get money for gpu but it will be too hard to get an i5.

Currently for economy reaosns I'm running this processor with only 4 of the 6 cores functioning(you can set it at the BIOS).

I'd say it would be enough for your needs in case you decided to give it a go.
