I have a Samsung 990 Pro (1 TB) and it contains only games, nothing else. I'm seeing varying opinions on how much free space the SSD needs - some say a 10-15% free space is required, while others say you can fill the SSD as long as it is only used for games.

I have 112 GB of free space in my SSD, and I really want to install Witcher 3 which takes up 57 GB (Yes, I like to hoard). Am I reducing the health of my SSD by doing this?

Thank you.

20% free, as @USAFRet suggested will provide the best performance.

I have to wonder about the negative perf effect of filling a ssd to 10% or even 5% if it's going to be used as a read only unit.

Try it see what happens.
