How much is a shader model 2 video card

Hello,
CAN I DOWNLOAD THE SHADER 2.0 ONTO MY DELL HOME COMPUTER FOR A GAME

... Uhm. First of all. For the love of all that is good, don't do the caps thing.

Second, how in the world are we supposed to tell? You didn't tell us your specs.

Third, couldn't you just download it and see if it installs or if it says it's incompatible?

And fourthly, your title and your post are asking different things. Do you want to buy a new graphics card that is shader 2.0 compatible, or do you want to know if your current graphics card is?

Download it? No. It is a feature the hardware has to be built with. If your computer is a desktop you could upgrade to a new graphics card if your old one doesn't support shader model 2.0. Shader model 2.0 is pretty ancient though, so if your computer has a dedicated graphics card it's pretty likely it does support shader model 2.0.

Its built in to the GPU hardware; you can't download it.

That being said, SM 2.0 is ancient. Like, late 90's ancient. No way you still have a PC without SM 2.0 support...
