So basically, i have a AMD A-10 Apu CPU and a Zotac 980 ti AMP Extreme. I know that the Gpu is being bottlenecked since the gpu is really underperforming and the CPU is shit, but on bottlenecker.com it says that its only being bottlenecked by 24%, But ingame it feels like its being bottlenecked by 70-80%. For example in CS:GO i have 60-80 fps, while others with this gpu has 300+, But if its only being bottlenecked by 20% that means that I'm going to get only 100+ fps or something like that if i upgrade my cpu, and i really don't hope thats true cause that sucks. So my question to you guys is do you also Think that the CPU is only bottlenecking by 20% based on the fps, and what can i expect if i upgrade my CPU? I know this a very long and probably very stupid question, so Thanks for taking your time to read this and Thanks in advance :)

you have a entry level cpu that struggles with modern games

with a great gpu

so yeah, cpu upgrade would get you benchmark numbers from the 980 ti

Thanks, btw can you recommend any Cpu's that would work well with the Gtx 980 ti and would give me some good numbers?

none on your current platform

i5 7500 or better

My two cents: An APU, of any type and any speed, is not a gaming CPU. It's not equivalent in performance to CPUs meant for gaming. So there's no way to say exactly how much it bottlenecks that card, just that you can be sure it's holding you back a lot.

This is why balance is so important when choosing components. You can't just stick a very fast videocard in your system and think that guarantees good framerate, it doesn't.

In your case, that platform was designed for low cost computing, so there's no CPU upgrade path there. You'd need a new motherboard/CPU and maybe ram depending on what generation of system you chose to upgrade into. A 980 Ti is a powerful card, I have no idea how someone would spend money on a card like that only to pair it up with a cheap processor.

So, what Motherboard and Cpu do you guys think i should buy (I would prefer links if possible)? And i have a windows 10 system, don't know if that requires more ram. And thanks for all the answers really appreciate it:)
