How much is rx 470 better than gtx 1050ti?

Well I am on very tight budget. I am basically a 720p gamer. Now I am deciding to buy a gtx 1050ti and i3 6100. I can a afford a Rx 470 but for that I need to cut my internet connection. I dont need ultra 60 fps but yes playble fps @ medium settings for next 2-3 years
So should I go for Rx 470.
PS: The Rx 470 is 35% more expensive here

For 720p the 1050Ti is fine. No need to invest and cut your internet to get a RX470.
The 470 is better no doubt, but the difference would me much more noticeable in 1080p. I believe both will hand 720p finely ( As the 1050Ti is capable of smooth 60FPS in medium settings @1080p )

Also, the 1050Ti consumes less energy, which will put less stress in your PSU. ( Which i believe you've already made sure it's capable of powering those up.)

I agree with manddy123, however I don't think the 1050ti will last you 3 years; the RX470 has a better chance of lasting you that long.
On the Blender matter, both will work; Nvidia's CUDA is currently faster with Blender while AMD provides OpenCL, which used to be slower but is now catching up.

TL;DR. Nvidia 1050Ti is good for now. AMD RX470 stays good longer.

We never know what lies in the future 😛 But he said he plays @720p and isn't too picky with his game performance so the 1050Ti should last.
IMO losing the internet is a big big deal, i wouldn't risk that at all actually.

Yeah, but 3 years is a lot of time; none of my Nvidia cards lasted that long (at least, not since the Geforce 4 4200) while several Ati-AMD cards lasted that much. It looks like a sound investment to me. Oh, well.

I think 1050 Ti will be fine for 720p for 2 or 3 years. 1080p is another story. But I would not cut or lower my internet connection for a jump from 1050 Ti to 470. Hell no!

Thanks everyone for there help yeah its true Rx 470 will last long and 3 year is probably insane for 1050 ti but I think internet is damn necessary.
