how much life can take the OCC to a Q6600

Hi im just wondering how much life can it take to OCC a Q6600 to 3.0 on stock voltages or 3.2 3.4 3.6 4.0?? I mean a Q6600 can least i dont know say 10 years if i OCC will it survive only 8 years ??

Im running at stock voltages 1.31v and is at 3.0 Ghz but I want to push it to 3.3 or 3.6 and my Temperatures are 56 max at full with a thermaltake Max orb and open case

i think the OP is asking if the Q6600 OCed to 3.0 will affect how long it will last.

if that is so, then id say the damage to the CPU would be quite minimal.. but i dont know how many volts you have going to it.. that would help as well😉

no one has the answer and i sure no one will really want to find out using their own CPU.but i can tell you its not instant kill!HAHA

lol, im sure that the damage will maybe knock off a little bit of the CPU's life but nothing SUBSTANTIAL. i have my athlon 5000+ BE at 3.4GHZ, and its been runniong for quite a while 😉

dont worry about it. you will probably upgrade/replace your computer before your CPU goes out.
