how much memory can my optiplex 330, bios revision A11 hold

I have a Dell Optiplex 330. I've recently upgraded the processor to an E8400, which I believe is the best I can do for the motherboard. I capped out the memory at 4GB about a year ago. But, while researching for the processor I found some websites selling my motherboard indicating that it can hold twice as much memory as I presently have installed AND the Dell pdf manual tells me that I have the max installed.

But, that was before BIOS revisions (there have been 3 of them that I know of). I am presently on the latest revision (A11) with the motherboard being a Dell OKP561, chipset P35/G33/G31 Rev A2.

So, I'm wondering if I am now able to double my memory?
(and) is the new processor that I just bought, not really the best I can buy (that will work on my board) now? (I recently found a website that indicates I can use almost ANY Core2 Duo and there are better ones than the E8400.

Whilst browsing through the manual for your computer: http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/optix/en/optix_330_techspecs.pdf
On page 9 where the ram information is.
The maximum ram supported by your motherboard is "4gb" running at 800MHz.
On doing further research your motherboard does only support 4gb.
Your CPU does support more ram but your motherboard doesn't unfortunately.
