How much memory should windows 8 and drivers take?

About to switch to a 256gb ssd but does anyone have a general estimate of how much windows 8 and nvidia, motherboard drivers etc should take up?

How much drive space?

I recently built a new Windows 7 system. After the OS, Windows updates, a small set of utilities (~1GB), and MS Office (~3GB), it was 47GB used space.

Win 8.1 won't be much different. Figure 40GB to start. Future Windows Updates will increase that. And Restore Points, etc, etc...

Should I also put hard ware drivers into the ssd? Would that even make a difference or should I just store them on my hard drive?
