I have a 2080s and ryzen 3700x and 16 GB cl 16 ram 3600MHz. According to linus tech tips the 3700x performs better than the 3900x on csgo, which is why im concerned. Shouldnt my FPS be around his or is my memory and GPU "holding it back"? I get high 200s-low 300s usually
edit: i play on max settinsg 1440p

Solution
The only time I've seen having above 120FPS make much a difference is when the game engine computes movement differently for an advantage. CSGO does not appear to provide such advantage.

I'd personally cap your FPS at 100-120 as so your FPS remains constant and there is no jerkiness caused by huge swings in framerate.
