How much of a difference will freesync make?

Planning to buy a PC which'll have a 8GB RX 480/580. Confused between these 2 monitors. The HP 22er looks absolutely awesome and the LG 22MP68VQ has freesync. Is it absolutely horrible without freesync?

The LG also supports a 75Hz refresh rate, allowing it to display higher frame-rates, which combined with FreeSync would likely be good for gaming. It also apparently comes calibrated for better color accuracy, which isn't common in its price range. That particular model doesn't appear to be widely available in the US though, so I'm not sure exactly how its pricing compares with the HP model, but it sounds like they're in a similar price range. Given the choice, if the prices were similar, I would likely go with the LG screen.

The lg may not be as pretty looking but its hands down a better monitor.

Remember Lg are one of only 3 manufacturers who actually make panels for monitors.

You can be pretty much assured that they only use the best quality panels in their own branded models.

It's not that horrible if you're not really that sensitive to screen tearing. But once you experience free sync you won't go back. If you go freesync don't forget to enable it on both the monitor and gpu. Also install monitor drivers. If you still get tearing with vsync off and capped your fps at 73-72 with FRTC or RTSS reinstall drivers with DDU. Test with windmill demo.
