How much performance am I losing on my current CPU?

I just bought a GTX 1070 and I currently have a i5 4460. I would like to know how bad the bottleneck is in games like GTA 5 and BF4/1. I would also like to know if DX 12 on future games will help? How much percentage would my frames increase upgrading to a i5 6600k (not planing to for a while). I am currently playing at 1080P 60fps, wanting to go to ultrawide. Thanks

You can very easily check by looking at your GPU utilization. If it's at 100% in these games, you're losing no frames. If it's at 80% (for instance), you could get another 25% higher framerate with a faster CPU at your same graphical settings.

There is no reason to upgrade it, the i5 4460 should not bottleneck a GTX 1070.

It absolutely will in some games like GTA V and Battlefield, preventing a perfect 60fps. i5's are starting to become less than the minimum for perfectly smooth gaming.
