Hello,

I got 2 graphics cards as gifts from a friend and my cousin: R9 290 and GTX 1060 6GB

I have the following two systems:

1)
CPU: Ryzen 3 2200g
Motherboard: ASRock B450M
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB DDR4 2666Mhz kit)
Storage: Samsung 860 Evo 500GB SATA3

2)
CPU: Xeon E3-1230 V2
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2-B3 (Rev 1.0)
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB DDR3 1333Mhz kit)
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB M.2 NVME

(PSU doesn't matter because I have one high wattage PSU and one low wattage and I'll l fit it to the correct system)

At first I thought to pair the GTX 1060 6GB to the newer build with the 2200g and the R9 290 to the older one with the Xeon. But then it turned out the R9 290 won't work on this system from some reason. So in order to make both computers with with these GPUs I have to install the R9 290 on the 2200g system and the GTX 1060 on the Xeon system. But this is an overall weaker system I believe? (Or I'm wrong? Perhaps the Xeon is actually better but the RAM is slower?)

*Not speaking of future upgrades of course

If I do that, how much performance do I lose? Compared to installing the GTX 1060 on the 2200g and the R9 290 on the Xeon build?

Thanks

GTX 1060 is at least 50% faster but at up to 1080p it's CPU that does most work. Xeon is not really that good for gaming, what GPU do you have with it now ?
I'd rather have GTX 1060 on Ryzen, Xeon's job is as a server so it would be wasted on it.
