I recently bought two deepcool rgb 350 kits which include 2 rgb strip and a control box with molex connector. So in total i have 4 rgb strips and 2 control box connected in my pc. Afaik rgb strips use very insignificant amount of power. But the control box says it is rated for 12v and 6 amps hence 72 watts. My question is, is my psu drawing that much power because of the rgb kit because after connecting the kits my psu (700 watt gold) fans ramp up immediately.

My specs
B460 chipset
i5 10500 @90 watt max
Gygabit Rx 5700 xt oc @230 watt max
16 gigs ddr 4 memory
Antec neo eco 700 watt gold

I am specifically referring to this particular product.

The product specs page has bunch of power draw infos but i am a noob in this matter. Can anyone please educate me regarding this? TIA

The specs for those lights say the PEAK current draw for EACH strip is 200 mA for Red, and 100 mA each for Green and Blue. That's 400 mA or 0.40 A per strip, so 0.8 A for two strips. With a 12 VDC supply, that equals 9.6 W max total power consumption, versus a max limit on the control box of 6.0 A or 72 W. No Problem at all!
