How much ram do i need for gaming while recording the game, is 8gb enough on CPU INTEL CORE i5-7600K 3.8GHZ 6mb or should I go for more ram and let's say the game is Fortnite

Solution
It depends, on the game you are playing and the preset in which you are recording the video and mostly on your pc specs. Video recording uses most of the processor's power to write and save video to disk. you have i5-7600k with 3 gigs of ram. you'll have no problem recording the game. on 1080p. recording will be smooth but you can face low FPS and stutter because of graphics card.

For example if your are running a game that requires recommended 2GB ram, then you will have 1GB extra. most of the left ram is consumed by windows process, what's left is used by the program to record and save the video.

Actually 4GB of ram is recommended for streaming etc. But you have 3 Gigs which won't be a problem.
