I have an older system that I use for work and I need to put more ram in.
It’s an Intel(R) Core 2 Duo CPU. E8400 @ 3.00 gigs 3.01 ghz
I have 8 gb but want to put more, can my processor handle 32 g.

Solution
No. The highest DDR2 total memory capacities were generally 16GB since there were only 4GB modules available in DDR2 and I haven't seen 8GB DDR3 modules work on any lga775 motherboards (probably because 8Gb DDR3 modules weren't available back then).

What motherboard do you have?
