How much resolution can my card give??HIS AMD HD5450

My computer can only give 1280x1024 can it be increased.If it can be How
I have:
AMD Athlon IIx4 630 quad core processor
4Gb DDR3 Ram
ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 gb DDR3
and my LCD is 17 inch Dell E172FP
Can my Lcd or graphic card support it if cant what should i change.
and does the resoulution affect gamming

most likely your monitor has a native resolution of 1280*1024 means thats the maximum resolution your monitor can display.
however if it can be increased it can be done via the control panel in screen resolution settings
