Which motherboard should I use? How much should I spend on it then?

If you plan on overclocking, I would go with the Gigabyte as it has the 990 chipset, which is overall better for overclocking. If not, just go with the ASUS.

The Asus board can overclock; a bigger difference is whether or not you ever want to run multiple video cards. If so, then you want the 990FX chipset.
