How much voltage is too much?

I recently overclocked my FX 6300 using a Asrock 970m Pro 3 motherboard. I was successful in getting the CPU up to 4.0 GHz but I had to increase the NB voltage from 1.0625v to 1.2250v...is this a problem? Should I be concerned? Just need to know, so far the OC is stable and I used Aida64 extreme to stress the CPU for like 2 hours. Motherboard Temps are 31c and CPU under load is 41c, I would appreciate any feedback from experienced OCers...I just don't want to damage my MOBO thank you.

SO SORRY I MADE A MISTAKE THE VOLTAGE WAS 1.0625V AND I BUMPED IT UP TO 1.2250V...

Yah that sounds right you had me worried for a second lol. 1.2v is fine, my cpu nb has been set to 1.2v for about two years now and my motherboard and cpu are still going strong. However monitor motherboard temps and watch for instability, that motherboard doesn't have large heatsinks like mine on the north bridge so it may get a bit hot, if so turn it down a touch.

Actually it does have quite a nice sized heatsink on the NB...one of the reasons I tried to OC in the first place..

Just for the hell of it I tried using the Asrock Auto OC options in the bios and it actually works very well. It was able to OC the FX 6300 CPU to 4.1GHz stable as hell no crashes or lockups, it added just the right amount of voltage to the CPU/NB and it OC'ed the DDR3 memory from 1600 to 1840...I'm impressed. I'm now getting around 7 FPS more in some games! I never trusted those (so called) OC suites that came with MOBO manufacturers but Asrock is making a believer out of me...wow! Temps are good to NB is at 28c idle and 32c under load and the CPU is 34c idle and around 38c under load...killer cool!
